Business Spotlight: J’s Pet Store

J’s Pet Store has been owned and operated by Jaylynn Rea for nearly five years. Rea has always had a love for animals and it was always her dream to either become a vet or open a pet store. With the support of her husband and family, she made the decision to open her pet store.

When Rea first opened her business, she mainly sold puppies. Later, she shifted her focus to small animals, birds and reptiles. At J’s Pet Store, customers can find beautiful birds such as parakeets, finches, cockatiels and love birds or special order a bird of your choosing. There are also fuzzy hamsters, dwarf hamsters, guinea pigs, and loveable chinchillas and bunnies. Customers can place special orders on most small animals as well.

J’s Pet Store also carries freshwater fish, bearded dragons and even a tarantula. Special orders can be placed on most saltwater fish, bearded dragons, chameleons, monitors/tegus, lizards, geckos, pythons, boas, corn snakes, frogs, amphibians, tarantulas, tortoises and turtles. J’s Pet Store also carries feeder rats, mice and crickets.

Pet food and accessories for birds, fish, reptiles and small animals can be purchased at the store. In addition, customers can find aquariums, bird and small animal cages, brine shrimp, bloat worms, super worms, meal worms, freshwater frenzy, saltwater multipack and turtle diet.

J’s Pet Store is located in Price, across the street from Wal-Mart, at 260 South Highway 55. They can be reached at (435) 637-4234 between the hours of 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 to 4: p.m. on Saturday.
