Business Spotlight: Pat’s Sew N Stuff

Frustrated about not being able to buy a spool of thread in the town of Ferron 25 years ago, Pat Behling opened a quilt shop she calls Pat’s Sew N Stuff at 35 East Main. The store has been at that location since 1988.

Pat’s Sew N Stuff stocks high-quality fabric, notions, rulers, pattern, magazines and so much more. Minor alterations, mending and zipper repair are services available at the store. Pat’s Sew N Stuff is also a source for Bernina Sewing machines, which she orders as needed by customers. Behling said that people from all over the area visit her store because it is well stocked with all of their quilting and sewing needs.

Lyn Morgan, Terry Seely and Nellie Smith are all part of the knowledgeable staff at the store, ready and willing to help every customer. Smith has been part of Pat’s Sew N Stuff since it opened and Behling calls her the “Zipper Queen”. Behling’s daughter Kaylynn Fail, from Green River, makes the store samples and assists in the running of the store.

Currently, Pat’s Sew N Stuff is operating with its winter business hours, which includes Monday through Friday from 12:30-5 p.m. Right now, Behling has a great selection of flannels on hand for quilts and is willing to provide hem stitching on customer’s quilts. For those not wanting to take on a huge quilting project, the store has comfortable blankets available for sale.

Pat’s Sew N Stuff will be having their annual “Black Wednesday Early Bird Sale” the day before Thanksgiving. There will be 40% off all fabrics from 7-8 a.m.  Throughout the day, the savings will decrease.  Behling reminds customers to shop early for the best savings and a great selection of quality fabrics, notions and more.  Behling guarantees it will be well worth the drive.
