Risque Beauty Salon has been serving the Carbon County community for 44 years. Sherri Mills took over the salon in 1971 and has owned and managed it ever since. The salon offers a wide variety of services including haircuts, colors, perms and styles. Risque Salon has an antique feel and a family-friendly environment.  Mills tries to make her customers feel as though they are family. Currently, Caitlin Iverson is the other beautician that Mills has working at Risque. Iverson offers waxing and eyelash and brow tinting.

Mills takes pride in her salon being based off the popular hair product brand Redken. “This is what makes us different and I believe we are the only salon solely based on Redken products,” she explained.

Hair styling is not the only talent owner Mills has to offer the community. She is also a renowned author of two marriage advice books, “I Almost Divorced My Husband But I Went On Strike Instead” and “Marriage 101 for Men: Why Taking Out The Trash Is A Turn On.” Mills used information she acquired from clients at the salon and used their stories in confidence to write her books. The two books have been successful in helping many marriages and families. Mills has had numerous guest appearances with different TV programs, radio talk shows and magazines to talk about the success of her two books.
