Unique, charming, theme-based and inviting are all words that describe the rooms at Danny Van Wagoner’s San Rafael Bed & Breakfast. Now in its 14th year, these rooms have been reserved by governors, church officials, foreigners and many out-of-state visitors. Each of the four rooms features a theme from Hawaii, Polynesia, the Orient and even a man cave.

“Situated perfectly between the beautiful Manti-La Sal mountains and the world famous San Rafael Swell,
San Rafael Bed & Breakfast allows you to experience all of what this country has to offer,” the business’ website shares. “Open year-round, we accommodate all, from adventure seekers to relaxation connoisseurs. Enjoy the comfort and wonder of our atmosphere, both within the inn and in our unique surroundings.”

Two jetted tubs as well as a movie projection room, patio and weight room are all amenities available to each guest. A full course breakfast is always available and even dinner services for special occasions. Rates depend on the length of the stay, menus and other amenities. It is always open for business, and there are posted phone numbers for customer service.

Accommodation is the key word at theSan Rafael Bed & Breakfast. Van Wagoner states it is fun to meet guests, visit over a cup of coffee or glass of wine, or give a guided tour of the desert. Many of his customers are repeat visitors who book a year in advance. They surely find unexpected pleasures in his place of business located on the corner of  First North and Center Street in Castle Dale.
