For over 30 years, Sudsy Duds Dry Cleaner & Laundromat has been a staple to the Castle Country area. Located at 206 East 100 North in Price, Sudsy Duds offers much more than dry cleaning and a self-service laundromat. Long-time business owner Paul Hofer and his family have been there since the beginning.

Originally known as Lloyd’s Laundry, Hofer took over the business in 1987 and renamed it Sudsy Duds. At the same time, his father, Roy, was managing another laundromat in Price, the Day-N-Night Laundromat. Roy took over in 1989 when Paul broke away from the business to attend school at UNLV in Las Vegas, Nev.

During Paul’s absence, Roy combined the two laundromats into Sudsy Duds. Paul returned to Price in 1991 and once again began managing Sudsy Duds alongside Roy. The duo worked side by side until Paul officially bought the business with his wife, Tracy, on January 1, 2000.

Through the dry cleaner, Sudsy Duds offers a wide variety of services, including dry cleaning, pressing, laundry service and linen rentals. They also have around 100 commercial business laundry accounts delivering rug, dust mop, mop head, apron and bar towel rentals to local businesses. Sudsy Duds has also been in partnership with Castleview Hospital, providing laundry service since 1992.

Being the only laundry service in the Castle Country currently, Sudsy Duds gets the job done. “I emphasize everyday that our motto is we care,” explained Paul. “It’s a lot of hard work and it’s not all fun and games sometimes, but we try to do everything we can for our customers.”

The dry cleaner is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., while laundromat is open seven days per week from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, please call Sudsy Duds at (435) 637-8821.
