Sun Somewhere Real Estate Station LLC. is a new brokerage in Price that specializes in buying, selling, property management, rentals, short sales and foreclosures. Owned and operated by Karen Martino-Basso, Sun Somewhere opened its doors in November 2014. Although the brokerage is relatively new, Martino-Basso brings 10 years of real estate experience to the table.

Originally licensed in 2004 as a realtor, Martino-Basso has worked for several agencies including Nagel Realty, Re/Max Raptor Realty and Trails End Realty. She received her Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) Certification in 2010 and graduated from the Utah Association of Realtors Leadership Academy in 2013. She has been an active member of the Carbon-Emery Board of Realtors for many years and just finished serving as the board’s 2014 president.

Martino-Basso is also a member of the National Association of Realtors. She passed her brokers class from Stringham Schools in February 2014, received her Associate Brokers License in May 2014 and was approved for a Principle Broker License by the Utah Division of Real Estate on Nov. 21, 2014.

With many certifications to her name, along with experience, Martino-Basso looks forward to serving the community by offering friendly, ethical service to those looking to buy, sell or rent homes and property in Carbon and Emery counties. “I’ve built my business from referrals from clients,” she explained. “I pride myself in taking care of buyers and sellers.”

Sun Somewhere specializes in fitting a client’s wants and needs with their financial purchasing ability. Martino-Basso can show every home on the market and will negotiate terms and prices that are right for the buyer. Sellers will also find that the service offered at Sun Somewhere is personal and customized to their needs.

Property owners and renters will find what they want at Sun Somewhere as well. Through its property management services, the staff will make sure that owners are comfortable in knowing that their property and tenants are taken care of. Full background checks, previous rental history and the application process will all be handled by Sun Somewhere, giving owners piece of mind.

Renters will also be served with respect. If there is not a property that meets the needs of a potential renter, Martino-Basso, along with office manager Jackilyn Zserai, will find it. Zserai, who has eight years of experience in office and property management assistance, prides herself in providing excellent service to all who enter the business.

Short sales and foreclosures are a specialty of Martino-Basso’s. She offers free, confidential consolation and is SFR certified and experienced. She can also help a buyer purchase a foreclosed home or property through a short sale.

When it comes to real estate needs, Sun Somewhere can provide dependable service. “All real estate transactions are important,” Martino-Basso explained. “Letting an experienced professional help is in the best interest of the client.”

Owning her own brokerage was once a dream, but is now a reality for Martino-Basso. She knows that hard work and determination helped her to get where she is now, but she admits none of it would have been possible without the support of her family. She is the daughter of Sam and Diann Martino and is married to Jory Basso, her three biggest supporters. She also credits Ryan Murray of the Small Business Development Center for guiding her along the way and encouraging her to open her own brokerage. “Finally, I would like to thank my sister-in-law Karen Basso for the name confusion,” she joked. “We get a kick out of it.”
