Margaret Keller and Angela Huntington are the mother-daughter duo that own and operate a newly organized artisan market. They have been crafting together as a team for over 20 years. Margaret started a family-owned floral business in 1994 called Heart To Heart Floral on Main Street in Castle Dale. They created floral designs and offered tole-painting classes. It was there that their love for crafting and community involvement began.
Through the years, Margaret and Angela have participated in craft fairs all over the state. There was a period of time in which Angela attended college and received a degree in elementary education and started raising a family. Margaret found employment in the county and also started an interior design business and was hired to decorate various business offices in Emery and Carbon counties.
The two have now decided to renew their passion for art and handmade items. Individually, they have started selling to friends and family online and select boutiques in Northern Utah. You can follow Margaret on Instagram @helloclaireandco and Angela @emeryavedesigns. They have continued to grow their talents by taking classes in mixed media painting, home decor and other art forms.
For years, it has been a dream of theirs to combine their love of creating and organize a craft market for the community. As a result, The Sweet Life Market began to take shape. With loving encouragement and support from family members and friends, they have been able to see the market become a reality.
Margaret and Anglea believe to have a successful market it is important to involve other people in the community in showcasing their talents and products. The feedback has been overwhelming and positive, they explained. They are impressed with the unique items the vendors will be offering. At The Sweet Life Market, shoppers can expect to see handmade items, home decor, jewelry, accessories for children, reclaimed furniture, quotable tees, fine art, home baked goodies, outdoor decor, Scentsy, It Works, Cherry on Top food truck, LuLaRoe clothing and much more. There will also be a kid’s market where young budding artists will be able to sell their creations.
With Mother’s Day and teacher appreciation approaching, Margaret and Angela thought it would be a good time to offer these items to the community. They have future plans to do a market in the fall with hopes of having more vendors and a larger selection of items and products.
Margaret and Angela would like to thank all those who have been involved with the planning and participation in The Sweet Life Market.
“The excitement is building and we look forward to seeing you there,” they shared.
The market will take place April 29 and 30 at the senior citizen building in Castle Dale. Friday’s Market will take place from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-2 p.m.
