Carbon County local Brittnie Arroyo had the dream of being a business owner for quite some time. While collaborating ideas with a close friend pertaining to the business after he bought out a clothing store, she suggested that he start a clothing business of his own. While he denied the notion, stating he did not have the time, the idea came to Arroyo to open one herself. With the help and hard work of Arroyo’s husband, Twenty-Two Clothing was born here in Price.
First located at 90 West 100 North, Suite 15 in Price, across the street from Gas N Go, the store opened in the spring of 2017. Arroyo strived to bring quality clothing, accessories and more to the area in order to make it easier for the female residents of Castle Country to shop locally. A handful of months after the store celebrated its opening and ribbon cutting, the opportunity arose for a relocation. Arroyo nabbed the chance and moved Twenty-Two Clothing to the corner of 11 West Main Street in Price.
Arroyo knew that in order to make Twenty-Two a success, it would be a necessity for the pieces that she offered to be affordable. It was important to her that she ensured that the prices were a good fit for the community.
“One of my biggest things is I want to make sure that my prices are affordable,” Arroyo stated.
Arroyo also said that the store is still in its first year of business, making it still very much brand new. She explained that while there may not be a ton of pieces in stock at the store, Twenty-Two will grow as is necessary with the contribution and commitment of the community.
Twenty-Two has always offered women’s clothing and is now adding a junior section that will pertain to younger females in high school and college. The store used to offer children’s clothing but has since stopped. Also available at the store is accessories, purses, sunglasses and the like. Sweet Olive Farms has a section of Twenty-Two where you can purchase exclusive soaps, lotions and more.
The store has a high variety of sizes for the clothing that reach up to 2X and sometimes 3X. Online, you can visit their Facebook page titled Twenty-Two Clothing. At the Facebook page, a link for the Square Store Online will take you where you can shop online for all that is offered in store. Arroyo highly recommends that, if you see a piece you like, to order it. Generally, she only orders one of each size for the pieces she picks and rarely does reorders. However, if you choose to pick up the clothing in the store while online shopping, the shipping is free.
Arroyo would also like to stress the importance of shopping local and supporting the community as much as possible.
Twenty-Two is open for business Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. To reach Twenty-Two, call (435) 299-2168.
