A big third quarter propelled the Emery Spartans to a 70-62 win against South Summit Friday night in Castle Dale.
Tyler Butler nailed six treys in the win, giving him 27 on the season, second best in the state of Utah and first in 3A. Kyson Stilson added 19 more. Brax Jensen chipped in 10 as well.
Trailing 32-26 at the half, the Spartans responded with a 21-8 quarter that gave them the lead for good.
Emery (5-2, 0-0 Region 15) will play at Grantsville (6-2, 0-0 Region 13) on Wednesday.
