Canyon View Junior High School Chorus Performs at Christmas Concert

The Canyon View Junior High School chorus performed its Christmas concert for family and friends on Wednesday evening. The chorus is under the direction of David Bird.

The seventh grade chorus sang “Chocolate in My Stocking,” by Marta Keen and Carl Strommen, while the eighth and ninth grade chorus sang “Nativity Carol,” arranged by John Leavitt.

Solos were performed by Jessica Fox singing “Wasn’t His Child,” Thomas Shannon singing “Frosty The Snowman,” JD Justice singing “Sleigh Song,” Bryan McCandless singing “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” and Katelynn Cloward sang “Winter Wonderland.”

Madisen McCandless and Brooklynn Potter sang “Pine Cones and Holli Berries” and “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” Madison Roberts and Taylor Duncan sang “Last Christmas” and Makyan Nielson sang “Mary Did You Know.”

Josie Funk sang “Rose in Bethlehem,” Tiana Jensen sang “Where are You Christmas,” Shyler Griffen, Baylor Griffin and Hadli Olsen sang “Joy to the World” and Randi Lake and Kira Saling sang “Christmas Lullaby.”

The performance ended with the combined choir singing “Nutcracker Jingles” arranged by Chuck Bridwell, “Below the Mistletoe” by Jay Althouse, “At Twilight” by Audrey Snyder and “All Around the World Tonight” by Jerry Estes.
