This afternoon at approximately 2 p.m., officials from surrounding towns as well as Highway Patrol officers were dispatched to the Cleveland Junction on Highway 10 where a car had reportedly caught fire.
Community members assisting the driver stated that the driver of the vehicle, whose age and name have not been disclosed at this time, noticed his foot feeling warm and pulled over when the car began smoking.
The driver managed to remove his personal items from the vehicle before it caught fire.
