The 3A State Soccer Tournament is set. Carbon and Emery each received first round byes and will not play until Wednesday, Oct. 16. It is a single-elimination tournament, so both teams will need to win to advance.
#4 Carbon (13-3, 9-1 Region 12) will host #12 San Juan (4-6, 4-6 Region 12) in Price while the #10 Lady Spartans (9-7, 8-2 Region 12) will travel to play #7 Grantsville (11-5, 6-4 Region 13).
The Lady Dinos beat San Juan by scores of 8-0 and 9-1 in previous meetings this year. Emery and Grantsville will be meeting each other on the pitch for the first time this season.
