Schools from throughout Carbon and Emery counties traveled to Moab on Tuesday to compete in a Quiz Bowl competition. Mont Harmon, Helper, San Rafael and Canyon View junior high schools competed along with Grand Middle and Grand High.
In the varsity match, nine teams competed, including two teams from Mont Harmon,Canyon View and Grand Middle School. Grand High edged out the Mont Harmon Blue team on a spelling question in the final round.
Teams also competed in a JV match at the meet. The San Rafael Junior High Blue team went home with a win in the JV competition.
The next Quiz Bowl meet will be held on Feb. 18 at San Rafael Junior High.
