The Carbon Dinos and Emery Spartans will highlight a week full of activities at Carbon High as the two will meet under the Friday night lights in a football matchup with region implications on the line.
Despite entering 3A North play with a 0-4 record, the Dinos can keep their playoff goals intact with a win over the Spartans. Carbon hasn’t beaten Emery since a 2000 matchup that ended in a 42-13 Dino win.
The Spartans enter region play with a 2-2 record, beating Manti this past Friday and winning at Payson August 26. Head coach Jon Faimalo is in his first year at the helm of the Spartans.
The game will kick off Friday at 7 p.m. A special homecoming pre-game show will air live on ETV Channel 10 at 5 p.m. with special interviews to highlight the homecoming week. The game will then be broadcast live on Channel 10 directly following.
