Carbon Babe Ruth Teams Have Strong Showing at All-Star Tournament

Carbon Babe Ruth teams are currently participating in the all-star tournament in Richfield. Each team has represented Carbon well through strong, solid play.

The 15-year-old team played district games on Wednesday and Thursday. Carbon played Wayne and Piute opening day, winning both games. They then moved on to face Monticello and Richfield the following day. Carbon split the games with a win over Monticello and a close loss to Richfield.

The team entered the state tournament on Friday seeded second. They kicked things off with a win over Piute. Carbon is scheduled to face Richfield Saturday. A win will advance the team to the championship game.

The 14-year-old Carbon Babe Ruth team also participated in district play on Wednesday and Thursday and entered the state tournament Friday as second seed. Carbon lost to North Sevier on Thursday and Richfield on Friday. They battled head-to-head with Richfield, but just fell short of a win, 8-6.

The Carbon 13-year-old team advanced straight to the state tournament. They played their first game on Friday against Richfield and scored a win. Carbon will now play in the championship game on Saturday.
