Holding the Falcons to five sets, the Carbon High Lady Dinos weren’t able to take a victory Tuesday night and ended up giving the win to visiting Canyon View.
The faceoff started emotionally for the team, who had traded their usual blue, black and white for pink uniforms and ribbons donated by Castleview Hospital as a way to share its support and awareness of breast cancer.
The first set ended in favor for the Falcons, 25-22, while the next two were handed to Carbon, who finished with 25 each time. The fourth set was won by the Falcons, 25-19, which tied the score 2-2 and led to a fifth set.
The fifth battle ensued with each playing hard, but eventually ended with a Canyon View victory, 17-15.
Carbon will continue to host its opponents as North Sanpete travels to take on the Lady Dinos on Thursday. Varsity action is tentiatively scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
