Carbon Boys’ Tennis Avoids a Sting From Juab Wasps *Photo Gallery*

The Carbon High Dinos boys’ tennis team played a match against the Juab Wasps on Wednesday afternoon and were successful in not getting stung.

Carson Martines played at #1 singles and was able to best his opponent 6-4, 6-3. Next up at #3 singles was Preston Condie. Condie came back from a loss in the first set to secure a win by the score of 5-7, 6-3, 6-0.

For the #1 doubles team, which includes Bonham Brewer and Caleb Winfree, they also found themselves dropping their first set at 4-6 but were triumphant in a comeback and made enough adjustments to win the second and third sets with 7-5 and 6-4, respectively.

The varsity team’s final score was 3-2. For the junior varsity, the final score was 3-3. The matchup saw Keenan Hatch winning #1 singles with 8-6, followed by Daniel Reyna in #2 singles at 8-0. The #2 doubles team of Zac Mortenson and Craig Olson also secured a win with 8-6.

“Great job, boys!” said head coach Pete Riggs.
