Carbon Brings Home Fourth From Region Competition

While competing with other schools from around the region, the CHS Track team was able to secure, as a whole, fourth place while at the Region 15 Championships that took place May 10-11 at Juab High in Nephi. The boys’ team placed fifth at the event with the girls’ team capturing third, coming in above the hosting school.

Sara Morley took first in the shot put as well as discus competitions.

Other top five finishers include: Gabe Van Dyke, fifth in the 110 hurdles and high jump and third in the 300 hurdles. Ohlwiler, second in 100 hurdles and long jump and fifth in the 100 meters. Derek Hillam placing fifth in the 400 meters as well as fifth in the long jump. Lindsey Blanc, second in the 400 meters and fifth in javelin. Sadie Crompton, fourth in the 400 meters. Jordyn Oman placing fourth in the 200 meters and fifth in the 100 meters. Kyle Quinton, second in the long jump competition. Peyton Fausett, third in shot put. Morgan Hillam, third in shot put. Maggie Powell, fifth in discus. Caitlyn Dimick, third in javelin. Emily Broadbear, fourth in the 3200 meters. Mikelle Monson, third in the high jump. Boys’ 4×100 team, fifth. Girls’ 4×100 team, fourth. Both boys’ and girls’ 4×400 teams, third. Both boys’ and girls’ sprint medley relay, fourth.
