In its first annual celebration, Carbon County hosted a patriotic program at the event center on Friday. To start the evening, the drum line from Carbon High played several numbers. The audience then arose in respect as the colors were posted and the national anthem sung.
The program was announced by Carbon County Commissioner Jake Mellor. It included several different musical numbers as well as a dance routine from Miss Southeastern Utah Outstanding Teen.
