Dreary weather did not deter a food drive for the Carbon County Food Bank on Thanksgiving morning. Members of the community gathered at the Carbon County Fairgrounds early Thursday to take part in the county’s annual turkey trot.
The traditional event requests at least one non-perishable food donation from each participant. Those that participate can then make the trek as they would like on the out-and-back trail.
The turkey trot is made possible by Carbon County Recreation. Food donated at the event will directly benefit the Carbon County Food Bank and members of the community this holiday season.
