CARBON COUNTY – DEMOCRATIC/REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION INFORMATION

All active Democratic or Republican registered voters will be mailed a ballot for the upcoming Presidential Primary (UCA 20A-3-305(1)(b). Ballots will be mailed between February 11 and February 18, 2020. Ballots returned by mail must be post marked by March 2, 2020.

Unaffiliated voters may affiliate at Early Voting or on Election Day (UCA 20A-2-107(2)(b).

Ballot boxes will be available at five locations across the County where any ballot may be dropped off. These locations are:

Carbon County Administration Building, 751 E. 100 N. Ste 1100, Price, UT 84501 (Vote Center)
Wellington City Hall, 150 W. Main, Wellington, UT 84542 (Vote Center)
East Carbon City Hall, 101 West Geneva Dr., East Carbon, UT 84520
Price City Hall, 185 East Main, Price, UT  84501
Helper City Hall, 58 S. Main, Helper, UT  84526

Early Voting

Early voting for the 2020 Presidential Primary Election will be conducted at the Carbon County Administration Building, 751 E. 100 N., Price, Utah, in the Downstairs Conference Room, during the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. beginning February 24, 2020 through February 27, 2020 and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on February 28, 2020.

Voters should be registered to vote on or before February 17, 2020 (UCA 20A-2-102.5(2). You will need to show a valid form of photo identification that shows name, photograph and current address or two different forms of identification that show name and current address, i.e. utility bill, bank statement, etc. After February 17, voters can register to vote in person or online and vote provisionally on Election Day, March 3, 2020.  Absentee ballots can be requested in person through Tuesday, February 25, 2020. (UCA 20A-3-306(2).

On Election Day, March 3, 2020, if you need to vote a provisional ballot or need access to an ADA voting machine, Vote Centers will be located at Wellington City Hall, 150 W. Main Street, Wellington, Utah and at the Carbon County Administration Building, 751 E. 100 N. Price, Utah from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
