The Carbon County Family Support and Children’s Justice Center hosted a 5K walk/run on Saturday morning. Runners at the event faced wind and cold temperatures in support of the entity.
In honor of the event, the center hosted an art contest where fifth grade students in the area could draw a picture that would be on t-shirts given to runners. Out of the entries, Sofia Crompton was chosen as the winner with her drawing titled “Happiness!”. Paiten Lopan was honored as the runner-up with a drawing titled “Always feeling safe.”
