Carbon County Filled With Opportunities to Stay Active This Summer

As the weather swiftly warms up in Carbon County, many of the citizens may be looking for ways to stay active and healthy throughout the summer. Luckily, the county is filled with a plethora of opportunities, locations and events for just that.

Many walking trails have been opened and improved in Price over the years, including the walking trail located in the Coves and the Price River Walkway that is often playing host to walkers, runners, bikers and more.

A bike trail has been opened on Wood Hill that takes travelers over the majority of the land in Carbon County, complete with maps and more while Helper City is known to host yoga in their park weekly.

Those that do not mind to pay a membership can join one of the local gyms, including Fierce MMA and Fitness, TougHer, the Castleview Hospital Wellness Center, the BDAC located at USU Eastern and the like. Each gym has its own membership fee.

Additionally, many businesses, entities, organizations and more host events and classes for those that wish to stay active in fun ways.

The hills and mountains surrounding the county also serve as a great opportunity as there plenty of hiking, biking and jogging trails waiting to be traversed by locals and visitors.

The well-loved Greek Festival is welcoming a brand-new Torch Run during its festivities that will be hosted on the evening of July 11, Scott Merrell hosts the Lunatic Triathlons each summer, with the Helper event still yet to take place in August. International Days traditionally boasts a 5K and Carbon Recreation hosts a plethora of sports camps and activities daily.
