Carbon County Green Team Encourages Recycling Safety

Carbon County Green Team Press Release

The Carbon County Green Team has been working hard to increase recycling efforts of the residents and reduce the material heading to the landfill. They are pleased to see that this has been paying off and more people are taking their material to the recycling trailers that are in areas around our county. More than 100 tons of recyclable materials have been kept out of the landfill by citizens in the past year.

Paper products and cans only are encouraged to be taken to the trailers. The Green Team and JB Recycling are asking that you do NOT put glass in the trailers. A worker at JB Recycling recently was seriously injured by broken glass as he sorted the contents of the trailer.

Glass can be recycled directly at the JB Recycling yard located at 798 South 800 East in Price. They also accept cardboard, metal and e-waste during their hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays. Please call them at (435) 637-2176 for more information.

The Carbon County Green Team is continuing to expand the opportunities for the community to recycle and reuse items whenever possible. For a complete list of where to recycle everything from paper to ink cartridges and anything in between, please visit
