Pictures, stories and memories were shared amongst friends at the annual meeting of the Carbon County Historical Society. The society met in Helper on Saturday to take their annual field trip that took the members up Spring Canyon to explore the historic sights offered.
Eldon Miller, who led the tour, spoke at the beginning of the meeting about Spring Canyon. Miller, who lived his early years in the canyon, shared many fond memories as well as photographs regarding the old establishments and how the town appeared more than 50 years ago.
The field trip ended with a picnic lunch at the Helper River Walk Pavilion. Carbon County Historical Society Journals were also available for sale with a new full-color cover.
