Hundreds if participants gathered Friday at the Utah State University – College of Eastern Utah track to help raise funds to find a cure for cancer.
Mayor Joe Piccolo welcomed the crowd and talked about Price City and its 100-year anniversary to begin the festivities.
Piccolo has had close experiences with cancer. His wife is a survivor of brain cancer and his brother is currently fighting a winning battle against kidney cancer.
The 80 cancer survivors in attendance started the walk, including a six-year-old survivor. The 25 participating teams followed the survivors.
