On Sunday, the pastor of Liberty Faith Fellowship Church reported that he had received very concerning Facebook audio recordings from 33-year-old Brendon Polito of Price. The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office reported that the threats implied he would harm four people and kill two of them.

Services at the Liberty Faith Fellowship Church were delayed due to the threats as law enforcement from the sheriff’s office and Price City Police took time to gather a statement from the pastor.

“The police arrived at the church to take the statement of the lead pastor and take into evidence his conversation with the suspect,” representatives from the church shared on Monday morning. “This was the sole purpose of the authorities being at the church. The police asked if the suspect was expected to show up to church that day, and the lead pastor indicated that it was very highly unlikely. At no time did the pastor feel threatened nor the congregants of his church.”

Officers immediately put out an attempt to locate on Polito and found him a short time later, the sheriff’s office shared in a statement. Polito told law enforcement that the messages were song lyrics but never stated as such in the audio messages. Polito was booked into Carbon County Jail on terroristic threats, a third-degree felony. He was also booked on disorderly conduct a class C misdemeanor
