Carbon County Recreation Continues Push to Provide Wide Range of Recreation Options

Carbon County Recreation continues their enthusiastic push to provide a broad range of recreation options for the community this summer. The programs include summer day camp, photography classes, adult co-ed kickball and co-ed softball.

The following is information provided by Carbon Rec. for anyone interested in participating:

Summer Day Camp- week five

The theme for week five of Day Camp provided by Carbon Rec. is “Back to the Future”. Come make time capsules, model cars, and end the week with a field trip to Gateway Lanes for a morning of bowling. Camp is for all kids age five to 12.

Day camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9am to noon. It’s just $18 per week or $6 per day. They even get lunch in conjunction with the school district summer lunch program. All you need to do is drop your child off at Castle Heights Monday morning.

Free Photography Classes

Carbon Rec. is offering free photography classes July 6 and 12. Scenic, nature photography and basic photo editing will be discussed. Classes start at 6pm and are located at the Carbon Rec. Office.

Adult Co-ed Kickball

Carbon Rec. is offering Adult Co-ed Kickball. That’s right, Adult Co-ed Kickball. The fee is $25 per person. Teams will play on Tuesday evenings at the Carbon County Fairgrounds Ball fields beginning in early August.

Co-ed Softball

Carbon Rec. is taking registration for the upcoming Co-ed softball season. The registration deadline is July 26. The fee is $250 per team. Games will be played on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
