Carbon County Republicans to Host Caucus Night March 22, Online Voting Registration Deadline Set for March 17

CARBON COUNTY –The Carbon County Republican Party will host is Caucus Meeting and voters will get a chance to cast a ballot in Presidential race Tuesday, March 22 at 7 p.m. at Carbon High School.

Check-in begins at 6 p.m.

“The caucus meetings have more excitement surrounding them this year because of the presidential race,” said Kendra Seeley, Carbon County Republican Party Chair. “We expect a large turnout.”

Anyone can attend a caucus meeting, however, in order to participate in the caucus you must live in the precinct, be at least 18 years of age by the general election date, and be a registered Republican or affiliate as a Republican.

The caucus is a meeting sponsored by the Carbon County Republican Party where voting precinct members meet together once every two years to elect a few local representatives as delegates to represent their voting precinct at the political party’s convention where Republican Candidates are chosen.

This year attendees will be able to cast their Republican Presidential Preference ballot at the Neighborhood Caucus in person or online. Although preregistration is not required for in-person voting, it is suggested. For online voting, preregistration must take place by midnight, Thursday, March 17.
