Anyone can attend a caucus meeting, however, in order to participate in the caucus you must live in the precinct, be at least 18 years of age by the general election date, and be a registered Republican or affiliate as a Republican.
The caucus is a meeting sponsored by the Carbon County Republican Party where voting precinct members meet together once every two years to elect a few local representatives as delegates to represent their voting precinct at the political party’s convention where Republican Candidates are chosen.
This year attendees will be able to cast their Republican Presidential Preference ballot at the Neighborhood Caucus in person or online. Although preregistration is not required for in-person voting, it is suggested. For online voting, preregistration must take place by midnight, Thursday, March 17.
