Law enforcement officers in Carbon County were recently presented with goodies by a young woman in sash and crown.

Miss Carbon County’s Outstanding Teen’s first attendant, Kaylie Basso, donated her time and money to show support to local officers and deputies just in time for National Law Enforcement Appreciation day on Tuesday.

“I am proud to give the police a sweet treat to help them kick off those calls with energy,” said Basso. The young woman made blue line themed cupcakes, gathered treats and also expressed words of encouragement that would be given to law enforcement agencies to enjoy.

Basso’s platform is entitled “Peace, Love, And Respect.” The royalty member explained that this service project helped represent her platform in a unique way by giving back to those who try to make the world a better and safer place. She also stated that this volunteer project showed law enforcement as well as community members the love and respect she has for the men and women in blue.

“I’m really honored to have such amazing law enforcement in Carbon County,” Basso said. “Thank you to all the law enforcement that protects and serves our county.”
