Local businesses and organizations gathered at the Carbon County Senior Center on Wednesday for a senior health and fitness fair. They offered free samples, business information and helpful resources unique to seniors. Among the exhibitions was the Carbon County Family Support and Children’s Justice Center.

The center offers support to struggling families by offering to watch children while parents or grandparents run errands, attend court, go to medical appointments or just need respite. The center was present at health day since it is common for grandparents to watch or even raise their grandchildren. The center also offers services for any type of abuse. For more information, visit www.hsdcfs.utah.gov or call the center at (435) 636-3739.

Also in attendance were several businesses offering physical therapy, hospice, funeral services and acupuncture, to name a few. There were also several volunteer organizations.
