A community coalition organized by the Southeast Utah Health Department in an effort to “Promote Traffic Safety Thru Community Partnerships” is so proud to announce that for the first time since 2014, Carbon County has the highest percentage of our community buckling up.
In 2014, Carbon County was second lowest in the state at 51 percent seat belt usage. As of July 16, Carbon County is number one in the state at 94.8 percent belted. We want to acknowledge all of our community partners for helping this happen.
Special thanks to the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office, Utah Highway Patrol, Price City Police Department, Banasky Insurance, ETV News, the Utah department of Transportation and the Utah Department of Public Safety.
