For the month of May, Carbon County Human Resources Director Rose Barnes announced Doris Johnston of the county’s planning and zoning department as the employee of the month.
Barnes stated that she has known Johnston for many years and she really goes above and beyond each day. She has never heard her say anything negative about her job or the county.
“She’s an amazing employee; she does whatever she can to help out,” Barnes shared.
Carbon County Building, Zoning and Planning Director Todd Thorne also spoke on Johnston and her achievements in the office. He stated that she is the main point of contact for the department and works diligently to keep the entire office running smoothly. He expressed that he would not be able to keep the department running without the help that Johnston supplies on a constant basis.
Johnston stated that she appreciates Thorne and the rest of the department just as much as they appreciate and value her. Johnston was awarded a plaque and will have her photo displayed in the administration building for the entirety of the month.
