Carbon County’s Mikelle Monson Gets Runner Up at Miss Utah’s Outstanding Teen Pageant

Carbon County’s Mikelle Monson took fourth runner up at the annual Miss Utah’s Outstanding Teen Pageant over the weekend. Monson’s platform of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and her dance performance in the talent category helped propel her to runner up.

In addition to runner up status, Monson also was a top competitor in the Teens in Action category. With the third place finish, Monson received a $100 cash reward.

Miss Emery County Outstanding Teen Shelbee Murdoch also competed in the pageant, placing in the top ten. At the competition, Murdoch presented her Kids Can Go Clubbing platform as well as performed a jazz dance for her talent.
