Carbon hosted the Lady Spartans on Thursday night for round two between the teams on the volleyball court. Emery played the Lady Dinos tough at home in the first meeting but were unable to get going in the second meeting.
Carbon swept Emery by score of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-21. Three Lady Dinos had double digit kills, including Diana Morley with 12, Emma Christensen with 11 and Cora Lamborn with 10. Morley had an outstanding 63.2 kill percentage. Gracie Salas led the Dinos in blocks with three while she tied with Christensen with 18 digs. Makenna Blanc added 34 assists in the contest.
Carbon (9-7, 2-5 Region 12) will be on the road on Tuesday against South Sevier (8-10, 2-5 Region 12) and will then play Panguitch (10-2, 8-0 Region 20) on Friday.
The Lady Spartans (5-12, 0-7 Region 12) will host a tough San Juan team (18-2, 7-0 Region 12) on Tuesday before they match up with Panguitch (10-2, 8-0 Region 20) on Friday.
