Coming off of back-to-back ties against Juab and Union, the Carbon Dinos secured a narrow win on the soccer field over Providence Hall on Tuesday afternoon.
The first half saw the only goal of the game as Carbon’s Luis Estudillo connected with the net to give the Dinos the advantage at halftime. Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second, giving the Dinos the region win.
Carbon’s Daxton Homes directed the offense in the matchup, recording the shutout.
Up next, Carbon (2-7-2, 1-4-2 Region 14) will travel to take on Delta (5-5, 4-4 Region 14) on Thursday. The Dinos will have a quick turnaround as they then host Salem Hills (5-3-2, 4-2 Region 10) for a non-region contest on Friday.
