The Lady Dinos took on Richfield on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
It was a frustrating game for the Dinos as they never looked comfortable. Jodi Noyes picked up two early fouls and never settled into the game. It was 16-8 after one quarter of play with Richfield up. The Lady Wildcats held Carbon to four points in the second quarter to take a 32-12 lead into half.
In a season where Carbon has dominated opponents, the Lady Dinos turned out their worst performance of the year at the worst possible time. They shot 23% from the field and had zero scorers reach double digits as they fell 51-27.
The Dinos will get a chance to play South Sevier in the consultation bracket on Friday at 11:10 a.m.
