Carbon School District Press Release

Carbon High seniors who are graduating this month wore their caps and gowns on Monday and visited the schools they attended on their way through the Carbon School District education system.

The students gathered at schools across the district, starting in the morning with the two Helper Schools, then moving on to Wellington and East Carbon and finally to the two elementary schools and Mont Harmon Middle School in Price later in the day.

Students in most of the schools lined the halls as the upcoming graduates walked through and high fived many of the kids. At Mont Harmon, the graduating seniors marched up and down the stairs in the auditorium at the end of a talent assembly the school was having that morning.

It was the third year of doing the graduate walk, and as small kids looked up to these seniors and saw themselves in a few years, teachers who knew many of the students shook hands and hugged the graduates whom they had taught years ago.

It was a fitting close to a successful year in the Carbon School District.
