The Carbon High School chapter of the Future Farmers of America hosted area contests for the Emery, Moab, Wayne and Carbon chapters on Monday. The events were hosted at the Carbon Country Events Center at the county fairgrounds.
The Carbon chapter captured first place honors in Creed Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking and the Discussion Meet. Students from the Emery chapter were successful in winning the Parliamentary Procedure Contest, Prepared Public Speaking and the Chapter Conduct of Meetings.
These teams and individuals will now prepare for state competition slated for March 9 -11 in Cedar City.
