The Lady Dinos traveled to Nephi on Thursday to play in Juab’s tournament at Canyon Hills Golf Course. The ladies were able to soldier on despite rain, snow and wind.

Carbon placed third with a score of 111 points. Laini Davis led the team with 29 points, followed by Indie Gardner with 28, Gwyn Kardelis with 28 and Sam King with 26 to round out the scoring.

Juab took first, scoring 130, while Richfield placed second with 121 points. At this point of the season, Carbon sits at third place in the region.

“We are a relatively young team with only three returning seniors and either two sophomores and a freshman or two freshman and a sophomore rounding out the varsity team,” said head coach Kenji Otani. “We had a really good week of practice and my girls are getting better every week. I’m proud to say they are not satisfied with the status quo and I’m proud of my team.”
