The Carbon High Marching Band performed in front of the many teachers and staff of Carbon School District during a solar eclipse viewing on Monday. The district’s new superintendent and the new principal of Lighthouse High were in attendance along with other employees of the district.
Like the last showcase that Carbon performed at the Peace Gardens as part of the Culture Connection series, the band played pieces of music featuring select tracks from the movie “Jersey Boys,” such as “Cant Take My Eyes off You,” “Oh What a Night,” “Walk Like a Man” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.”
There was much applause and many of the teachers said they are looking forward to the rest of the marching band season.
After the performance had come to an end, the eclipse took place and there were many people looking to the sky with their solar glasses.
