Carbon Loses Big Lead, But Hangs on to Beat Rival Emery

Michael Peczuh scored a career high 16 points Friday night in Carbon’s 67-59 home win against rival Emery. It was the first time the Dinos have swept the season series with Emery since at least the 2001-2002 season.

Dakota Cisneros chipped in 16 to go along with 11 assits. Derek Young and Jordan Blanc tallied 15 and 11, respectively.

Emery’s Dillon Wilstead lead all scorers in the game with a career high 24 points.

Carbon (7-4, 0-0 Region 12) has won six-straight games. The Dinos will travel to South Sevier Wednesday for a matchup with the reigning 2A champions. Emery (5-4, 0-0 Region 15) will then host the Rams on Friday to open region play.
