Carbon School District Appoints Two New Administrators in Secondary Schools

Carbon District welcomes new leaders at Carbon High School and Mont Harmon Jr. High. Bruce Bean assumes the principalship at Carbon High and Carol Wells at Mont Harmon Jr. High. The district anticipates smooth transitions since both Mr. Bean and Mrs. Wells are experienced leaders at their respective schools.

Mr. Bean is a veteran teacher and administrator in Carbon. He leaves a successful principalship at Mont Harmon and fills the position vacated by Greg Stanfield. Mr. Bean was assistant principal at Carbon High and a long time secondary science and sports medicine teacher as well as a coach in the district. He completed his undergraduate work at Utah State and earned his administrative credential from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Bean lives in Price, is married to JoAnn, and father of four.

Mrs. Carol Wells has served five years as the assistant principal at Mont Harmon and comes well prepared to take the reins as principal. She has taught at the elementary level and has been a principal at Petersen Elementary and East Carbon High School. Mrs. Wells earned her undergraduate degree from Utah State and her masters in educational leadership from the University of Utah. She resides in East Carbon with her husband Dan. She is the mother of three children.
