Mont Harmon Middle School (MHMS) and Carbon High School (CHS)’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members recently returned from the Nationals Competition that was hosted in Seattle.
Ella Anderson earned golf in Career Investigation (Level 3), while Landrie and Lanie Anderson took home gold for Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation (Level 3). Kaylynn Black earned silver in Sports & Nutrition (Level 3) while Abby Bryant and Maddox Wood-Davis took home bronze in Sustainability Challenge (Level 3).
Continuing, in Focus on Children (Level 2), Kenzie Morgan and Maggie Truman earned gold and made it into the top 10. Cameron Black and Curtis Allen earned silver in Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation (Level 2), and in Entrepreneurship (Level 2), Zander Carrillo took bronze.
For Food Innovations (Level 1), gold went to Brayden Black. Emma Bailey took silver for Event Management (Level 1) and Cade and Colton Steele earned silver for Repurpose and Redesign (Level 1). Maddie Powell took home bronze in Chapter Service (Level 1). Finally, Ella Anderson earned the FCCLA Memorial Scholarship Recipient.
“It is an honor to receive the FCCLA Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to one high school senior nationwide. This scholarship recognizes a member for their leadership and service within FCCLA and their community,” stated Ella, who was also Utah FCCLA’s State President 2023-24.
