The Carbon School District hosted a parent youth seminar on the evening of Oct. 29. Carbon School District invited all students in the district and their parents to attend this event.
The meeting had food and other refreshments available for all those who came to support. There were also booths from different schools and grades that showed off a little something. Other booths were set up by other divisions that came to participate and share ideas for the event.
Officer Judd first introduced the concept of internet safety and showed some videos of real-life people and the encounters they have had personally with sexual predators. He spoke about the dangers that lie behind a screen that some children or teens don’t quite see or understand completely yet. There were also a number of other speakers, including one touching on suicide and suicide prevention.
