The Carbon Dinos honored their home turf and the celebration of their homecoming game by securing a win against their rivals, the Emery Spartans. This 16-9 win marks the first time that the Dinos have successfully thwarted the Spartans in 17 years, with the last recorded win being in 2001.
Kickoff began promptly at 7 p.m. The last time that the two teams competed against one another, Emery High left triumphant. Friday night’s win was Carbon High’s big comeback and bumped their record to 1-5, subsequently dropping Emery’s to 1-5.
Carbon next looks to take on Grantsville next week. As always, the game is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
