The next AARP Driver Safety Class, hosted by the Carbon County Senior Citizen Center, will be on Thursday, April 19 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Recent news articles have been written and shown on television about distracted drivers, pedestrians right-of-way, drivers driving in oncoming traffic lanes and violating school bus laws.The class will address these topics, as well as provide additional materials related to safe driving. By completing the class, participants will receive a certificate of completion to give their auto insurance agent and receive a discount on their car insurance, which is good for three years.
The cost of the class is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. Contact the Carbon County Senior Center at (435) 636-3202 to register.
