The Dinos opened up their game against American Leadership Academy (ALA) on Friday with a 14-run first inning. Carbon did not have an extra base hit, but compiled several walks and 11 singles together to go along with a handful of Eagle errors.
The Dinos went on to shutout ALA, 19-0. The Carbon bats were alive as they had 19 hits while batting in only four innings. Keaton Rich led the Dinos, going 3-3 with four RBIs, while Kade Dimick had an RBI triple in the win. Nathan Richens pitched four perfect innings, striking out four batters without giving up a hit or walk.
Adrian Sanchez completed the shutout with his one inning of relief where he struck out the side.
The Dinos (5-7, 4-0 Region 14) will play Delta (2-8, 0-4 Region 14) twice this week. First, they will be on the road on Tuesday before hosting the Rabbits on Friday. The latter game will be streamed live on ETV Channel 10 and online.
