After taking state in swim last year, the Lady Dinos will have a bigger target on their back than ever. That does not mean that they will make any changes going into the season.
“We will approach this year the same as last year,” said head coach Allie Chamberlain. “Our goal is to take another title. It is also to come to practice, do your best and beat the clock.”
The new region alignment will provide better competition for the Dinos. “I’m excited, it will prepare us better for state,” said Chamberlain.
Rowland Hills could be the toughest competitor standing in the Lady Dinos way of a repeat, but Carbon has a lot of time to prepare. The Lady Dinos are also excited about the quantity of talented swimmers they have this year. “We have eight solid swimmers. Our relays are stacked,” exclaimed Chamberlain. The boys will focus on getting better each week and qualifying for state in relays.
